Universities should host non-academic discussion and integration
Yes — university is not only for academic work but also for having fun, making friends and building connections. Universities should run integration projects and, importantly, build bridges between international and Polish students to close the gap between them; the speaker is part of the internationalization team in the Jagiellonian University student union. It is valuable for students to share opinions — sometimes controversial ones — within the university, where it can be moderated to stay safe, tolerant and modern. He praises formats that combine academic lectures with networking time and workshops paired with social events, arguing the non-academic side matters as much as academia.
University is a place where you shouldn’t be afraid to show your real opinion.
