Summary
Creativity should be woven into every part of learning rather than treated as optional. Instead of pure memorization, students could run historical simulations or design their own startups and marketing strategies. Imagination lets students connect seemingly unrelated fields (political science plus data analytics, philosophy plus AI), supports real-world problem-solving from multiple perspectives, and makes learning more motivating and enjoyable. Universities of the future should provide the tools, resources and supportive environment to nurture these skills — because, as the speaker puts it, life is not a textbook and practical experience matters as much as definitions.
Life is not a textbook.
