Students increasingly seek practical job-market preparation, and universities have a responsibility to respond to fast-changing technologies, employment forms and skill demands, so strengthening work readiness is necessary. But universities are not training centres — they are places of scientific inquiry, research, critical thinking and expertise, including in fields without immediate economic returns; focusing solely on profitability would narrow their mission. The answer is balance through stronger cooperation with companies, NGOs, public institutions and research centres as integrated parts of programs: co-created courses taught partly by industry professionals, expanded internships, practical workshops, real-life case projects and dual study-practice models — while preserving academic depth, ethical thinking and broad intellectual development.
